Makeup 101
Makeup 101
The world of makeup is so fascinating and creative. However if your just starting out it can be a little overwhelming. There are a few basic principles to help your experience go fun and fabulous as it should be, like knowing you skin type for example.
Knowing your skin type will determine what type of makeup you should use. For example, if you have oily skin you’ll want to stay away from liquids or use liquids that cater to oily skin. In make up everything is builded upon a great foundation. This is what you apply sort of as a base. Not sure of your perfect match, places such as Sephora and MAC have makeup experts that will help you match you perfect shade and foundation for your skin type.
Following the foundation there is an option to apply a concealer. If there is a certain area on your face that you want to conceal (pimple, mark discolor etc) then concealer will be your best friend (blend well). After concealer you may opt to pressed loose powder, or bronzer on top of it to set it, depending on the look your going for. now for the eyes you have five areas of concentration the base, lid, crease, and brow line and the tear duck if you choose. The base is usually a primer, the medium/light color is for your lids, the darkest color for the crease, use a highlighter on the brow line and also in the tear ducks if you choose. Eyes take a little more work but with time you’ll be creating looks like a pro. Then apply your lipstick or gloss.
A tip for perfect nude lips is to dab a little foundation onto your lips and apply the lipgloss over it. Now your pretty much set and ready to look fabulous. As you gain practice, makeup will become like second nature to you. Then you too will become excited when MAC decides to come out with a new shade of yellow.
