No time for Exercise?

So you think you don’t have time for exercise? Well, think again! Here are some easy ideas to squeeze in some exercise, even when you think you don’t have time:

Park far away. Instead of rushing for a good parking space in the morning, park farther away and grab a longer walk to class. This also applies to the mall or anywhere else you can grab a few extra walking minutes.

Take your books to the gym. Instead of tuning out with your music on the treadmill or stair climber, use that time to read or study.

Take a detour. Instead of an elevator, use the stairs. Avoid short cuts to class and take the scenic route.

Set your alarm. Try getting up 30 minutes earlier in the morning. If that doesn’t work, carve out time somewhere else in your schedule and add it to your agenda. Set the alarm on your phone or computer so you don’t forget!

Sneak in your abs. While at your desk or table, sit up straight and contract your abs tight. Hold it for 30 seconds, that’s one set. Repeat with a minute between sets. Start with four sets, working your way up as you get stronger.

Team up. The best way to stay accountable to good habits, is with a buddy or group of friends. Instead of texting or social networking how about catch up face to face with a workout? If you cant meet at the gym, meet at a coffee shop and grab a drink after your walk or run!

I would recommend making time for exercise, put your personal health as a priority. Fitting in a few extra moments for exercise will reduce stress, energize your body, enhance your creativity, and improve your overall health.
