Removing Makeup

As much as we love the glamour and expression of makeup, it is extremely important to remove your makeup. This may seem like a hideous chore at times, especially when your just getting in the house after a long day, and you want to put it off until the next day. However, not removing your makeup, depending on how sensitive your skin is, will almost instantly cause breakouts.

Wearing makeup covers the pores, but this is okay due to the fact that there are plenty of products out there infused with ingredients that are healthy for the skin. However, sleeping in makeup allows for it to rest, settle, and “make itself at home” in your pores. This will cause your pores to be clogged, which causes breakouts. So make sure to remove your makeup and cleanse your face, even if it means using a facial removal towelette such as Ponds cucumber exfoliator wipes or Neutrogena makeup remover towelette. It is also advised by dermatologist to have “no makeup days” to allow your skin to breath. After all, the purpose of makeup is to enhance beauty not define it. Trust me, you are still gorgeous underneath all of that makeup!
