Spring 2011 Trends
Getting Ready for the Spring 2011 Trends!
We are already seeing the new spring fashions pop up on the runways and there are a lot of great designer accessories and clothes you will want to add to your closet!
Wide-leg Trousers: This is probably one of the most comfortable upcoming trends of 2001. This pants have been seen on runways such as Marc Jacobs and Tommy Hilfiger, among others. If pair properly with the right top and shoes (heels especially look great with these pants, they make your legs look amazingly longer). Wide-leg trousers, definitely high wasted ones can make you look fabulous.
Full Skirts: With more pops due to comfort, full, knee and skin-length skirts swept the runways. These are great for the added classy and elegant look. These skirts are very versatile and can be worn with an assortment of tops and shoes (even though flats tend to look best with them).
Kitten heels: I know that the name probably makes you think “What did she just call them? Wouldn’t that be something a 4 year old would wear?” but they aren’t, it’s just another name for a shoe with a shorter heel. Kitten heels are perfect for those of you that have trouble with the height of most heels but still want to wear them. They usually won’t pass the two or three inch mark and curve inward at the heel to provide more stability. These are also another great footwear option for the Full Skirt mentioned above.
Dolman Sleeves: Yet again, proof that 2011 might just be one of the most comfortable years in fashion this century. Designers have been gravitating toward looser, somewhat boxier tops with dolman sleeves. You will be sure to see these everywhere soon.
The color palate is pretty much all over the place. A lot of designers are leaning towards fruity colors – bright oranges, pinks, greens and yellows – but just as many neutrals and pastels. SO basically what I am saying is when it comes to colors use your best judgment, and remember that there is no reason you can’t mix it up. Pair a bright full skirt with a pair of pastel kitten heels. Or maybe even you could pair some hot pink cat eye glasses with some tan trousers. Just keep it classy! With this year’s batch of designer fashion accessories and clothes, it won’t be hard.
