We love our oversized sweaters. They’re soft, comfortable, warm and even cover-up well when we’re not feeing our most confident. So often it is the first thing we want to grab. Here are some tips to get the most versatility and chicness from that fall favorite.
The mini – pairing your sweater with a mini and tights can really dress up a casual sweater for evening or even work. Last Winter’s sequins is still in. Don’t be afraid to pair the contrasting sparkle with the soft cozy knit.
Black leggings – they are a long way from going out of style, and definitely a go-to favorite for the longer sweaters. Finish the look with boots. Taller boots will make you look even longer as well as keep you extra warm in cooler weather.
Wide-legged trousers – A flowy top or sweater doesn’t always mean a tight bottom. Try wearing a pair of trousers or trouser jeans with your sweater. This is an easy way to make the sweater look more high fashion. Just remember to keep your shoes tall.
Shorts – wearing shorts with your oversized sweater is a fun and flirty alternative. It’s ok even if they are a peek-a-boo length, just below your sweater. For colder weather, layer some tights and socks with boots.
