Summer a time for Color
Now that the gray skies of winter have cleared and made room for the blue skies and sunshine of summer its time for the COLOR REVOLUTION! Summer 2011 is screaming bold, daring, and fun. Adding a boost of color is the perfect way to achieve all three. And that is exactly what has been taking place.
Fashion gurus across the nation such as Dolce and Gabbana and Miu Miu have painted their runways with designs dipped in neon brights, orange, yellow, hot pink etc. And not only that, the gurus have defiled the rules by mismatching colors together to create what I would call fun fashion.You could totally get away with neon green and pink together this summer.
Makeup trends have also jumped on the color band wagon creating looks that emphasize the brights especially on the lips. Orange, red, pink, hot pink, bright berry, are the lipstick colors that are high in demand this summer. And as daring as it sounds orange is a universal color and goes best with any skin tone.
Oh and the color movement was not limited to just fashion. It also applies to Home interior and Bedroom decor. Whether you want bright and cheery or calm and serene, adding a fresh burst of color is an excellent way to create your own little happy retreat right at home. And it doesn’t have to be major. Painting a wall or two, switching up the bedding, changing the curtains will instantly give your living space a breath of fresh color.
